| Sylvain Lapointe is synonymous with energy! He has enthusiastically shared his knowledge and interest in music with young people for more than fifteen years. He participated in the development of several artistic projects, putting his leadership and organizational skills to good use.
His passion for chamber music developed in High School which led him to start his first brass quintet at 15 years old. While attending College and University, he created an ensemble which will end up producing more than one hundred performances in Québec and in Europe.
Versatile musician at ease in various musical styles, in 2001 Sylvain joins the musical review DanseSing presented at the Casino of Montreal and Caesar's Palace of Atlantic City. Upon his return to Montreal Sylvain Lapointe officially launches the Buzz project. Sylvain’s entrepreneurial instincts combined with wanting to experience touring with an odd and creative show led him to put together a group of passionate artists sharing the same vision. In 2002, he initially tackles the adaptation of a collection of legends entitled “La Chasse-galerie”, and creates a show geared to young audiences where theatre and music are combined in perfect harmony. In 2004, he is the author of a second musitheatrical show, this time about the history of music. He proudly launches the first Buzz album in 2005 which becomes critically acclaimed. In 2006, Buzz launches the second opus of the ensemble which is also warmly received.
A visionary, Sylvain seeks to reach and touch a vast audience so that he may transmit passionate and enthralling music that is always accessible.
