| It was a twist in a musician’s diversified and winding trail where Sylvain Arseneau's route first crossed Buzz in 2002 and led him to find his true path. This was a new and great challenge since the bass line, traditionally written for the tuba, would henceforth be played by the bass trombone. This would demand ingenuity in order to replace the piston play by the art of handling the slide. Making the most of his experience gained from being in several Big Bands, Sylvain developed both versatility and musicality. A visionary who is very skilled manually, Sylvain is also the Set Construction and Design Coordinator. The scenery is all his creative work. He imagines, creates and produces the scenic structures as per the needs of the group. Additionally, Sylvain is also very involved in the different stages of Buzz’s development. His pedagogical expertise as a specialist and substitute teacher in several schools brings new ideas and a better understanding of young audiences.
